Apply and remove polygel
What is Polygel? Polygel is an innovative nail extension technique that combines the benefits of acrylic and gel nails. It has a hybrid formula with a gel-like consistency that is easy to work with, without the strong smell of acrylic. Polygel offers a lightweight and flexible solution for creating beautiful, durable nail extensions.
Steps for applying Polygel:
1. Nail Prep: Start with clean, grease-free nails. Gently push back the cuticles and lightly file the nail plate to improve adhesion. Apply a nail primer if necessary.
2. Choose the right Polygel color and size: Polygel comes in different colors and sizes. Choose the desired color and cut or roll out the required amount of Polygel using a spatula.
3. Apply the Polygel: Place the Polygel on the nail and use a brush moistened with a slip solution (a mixture of alcohol and a special Polygel liquid) to sculpt the product into the desired shape. Polygel does not have a fast setting time until exposed to UV or LED light, giving you plenty of time to create the desired shape.
4. Curing under UV or LED light: After you are satisfied with the shape, the Polygel hardens when exposed to UV or LED light. Follow the recommended curing time recommended by the manufacturer.
5. Shaping and filing: After the Polygel has hardened, you can shape and file the nail as desired. This includes shortening the length, creating the desired shape and refining the texture.
6. Finish: Apply a top coat to give the Polygel nail a nice shine. Let the top coat harden under UV or LED light.
7. Clean the nails: Remove any sticky residue with a lint-free cloth moistened with the slip solution.
8. Cuticle Care: Finish by moisturizing the cuticles with cuticle oil for a polished look.
Polygel offers the opportunity to create beautiful, durable nail extensions with a relatively simple process. Practice and experience will help you become familiar with the consistency of Polygel and fine-tune the application process.
